Shawn Hawks is a native of Gallia County Ohio and has answered many exciting callings. He was a nationally ranked motocross racer in '89-90. He joined the military in 1991 when he enlisted in the Marines. Since then he has more than dabbled in several trades including shoeing horses as a Certified Master Ferrier, creating custom Damascus knives as a Master Bladesmith, and enticing smallmouth bass as a professional angler.

Shawn has always been artistically talented, so discovering tattooing in 1996 was a natural and productive progression that took his sketchbook art to the canvas of skin. Through the years, he has continuously worked to improve his skills, regardless of the task. Shawn prides himself in his ability to create amazing art in any style of tattoo, but specializes in black and gray work and realism. He loves to create portraits, neo-traditional art, as well as floral, memorials, and cover-ups. He also gets a kick out of goofy, fun pieces, and enjoys when clients allow him the freedom to create free-handed drawings right on their skin.

Shawn has a way of creating a light, humorous atmosphere while he is administering ink sessions to clients. His infectious sense of humor is just one attribute that keeps people coming back for more. His schedule is usually booked months out, but he is worth the wait.
